How To Activate Vodafone SIM, Which Is Deactivated?

If you have a Vodafone Pay-as-you-go number, you need to activate it by using it at least once, such as sending a text or making a call every 180 days.

If you don’t use your Vodafone SIM for 3 months (90 days), Vodafone will send a text message that your account will expire, and there will be no activity for the next 3 months (90 days). After the 180-day period, your Vodafone SIM will no longer work.

Furthermore, if someone steals your phone or you lose it, and you fail to apply for a replacement SIM for 180 days, your existing SIM will disconnect. In that case, you need to get a replacement SIM and activate it through the above-mentioned methods.

You cannot activate a SIM that is deactivated online. You have to contact Vodafone to see if your SIM, MSISDN, and IMSI can be reactivated at all. This is because these settings can be assigned to somebody else if you fail to take any action for 180 days.

To reactive your Vodafone SIM:

  • Call Vodafone customer care or visit a Vodafone store
  • Submit the reactivation request
  • Provide valid proof of address and photo ID
  • Wait for the confirmation call to reactivate your number

Conclusion

We hope that this guide helped you fix the Vodafone SIM activation issue. If you are a Pay Monthly customer and your SIM is deactivated due to an unpaid bill, you can reactivate your SIM card by paying it.
